Macaroni and Cheese

  • 350g macaroni
  • 1 small egg
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 350ºF/175ºC. Lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish.

In a large pot of water with a little salt, gently boil the macaroni for about 5 minutes until partly cooked.

Whisk the egg and milk in a large cup, and stir in the butter and cheese

Place the macaroni in the baking dish, and our the liquid mixture over. Add salt and pepper as desired, stir, and spread evenly in the dish. Bake for around 30 to 40 minutes, until the top is just brown.
