From The Vegetarian Cookbook

  • 100g butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups bread, cubed
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Heat oven to 275ÂșC. Lightly brown the garlic in the butter. Add bread. Toss gently to coat the bread with butter. Roast in the oven for about 7 minutes, then stir well and roast again for about 7 minutes more. When golden in color, remove and add salt and pepper as desired. Allow to cool.
