Back!

OK – after some “downtime”, the site is back – with an additional (shorter) URL. This is mainly a test post on the new home, but stay tuned!

Things to do:

  • mess a lot with the site’s theme. I haven’t used WordPress for this kind of site, so you may see a lot of small and large changes as we tweak and get comfortable. Today’s theme is not too bad, but the giant border at the top will need reducing to bring the posts “above the fold”(Update: actually, it was awful. Starting from scratch with new sandbox!)
  • rescue the old site. The software was not ideal, but all the old recipes are still sitting on a drive in the kitchen drawer. I’ll be retrieving and reviewing them one-by-one before reposting here.
  • Get some effective anti-spam measures. Any comments are 100% moderated until then.

All this will happen in parallel with resumption of posting, so new recipes should start appearing quite soon!
